Appointments and Fees

What to expect at an appointment

During an appointment, we will discuss a full case history of your animal and perform static and dynamic assessment, including walking and trotting your animal to assess gait and completing range of motion assessments of individual joints. Once the assessment is completed, appropriate massage and electrotherapy treatment will take place. After treatment, stretching may be used to further target treatment areas. During the appointment, we can discuss exercise prescription. Any exercises deemed appropriate will be demonstrated prior to their addition to the treatment plan.

An initial appointment will take between one and a half and two hours. Follow up appointments will take up to one and a half hours to complete.

After the appointment, I will send you a short report of the session as well as instructions for any remedial exercises discussed during the session. I will be available to answer questions you may have prior to or in between treatment sessions.

Before your appointment

All treatments are carried out following current legislation (Veterinary Surgery (exemptions) Act 2014). Maintenance cases may be seen without prior veterinary referral; this can be discussed prior to your appointment. If veterinary consent is required, it can be obtained using the following form (below), or you can provide me with details of your veterinary practice and I can obtain consent on your behalf.
